Remember that the defending Stanley Cup champ is 2-8 the past 12 seasons (11 playoffs) in the first round of the playoffs, 1-1 in the second round and win-less in the finals

the counter to this is, of course, that the Caps suck in April, are okay in May and are 1-4 in June.
